The long awaited adaptation of the
Wicked hot stage musical tops the UK box office this weekend on its debut giving cinema attendance a much needed boost.
The movie tops the chart with a £13.6 Million gross with easily takes the box office crown from last weeks top movie Gladiator II.
The sequel movie which drop to 2 this weekend was no slouch though as it takes £4.7 Million on its second weekend of release boosting its total to an excellent £18.4 Million.
Both movies has had very good reviews from critics and audiences alike and are showing good potential going forward.
Former number 1 movie Paddington In Peru is still at 3 this weekend with a total gross of £24.5 Million.
